Kenneth Lerer

Kenneth Lerer is an American businessman and media executive. In 2005, he co-founded the political blog The Huffington Post with Arianna Huffington. The Huffington Post is headquartered in New York. In 2007, after the Huffington Post hired Betsy Morgan of CBS News, he from acting CEO to Chairman. He is a past Executive Vice President of AOL Time Warner and was a founding partner of New York based PR firm Robinson, Lerer, and Montgomery. He has served as a visiting professor at the University of Pennsylvania and New York University, where he taught courses on the media and American corporations. He is also a former Chairman of the Public Theater in New York. His son started an online men's newsletter called Thrillist.com. According to the New York Times, on April 9, 2007, he co-hosted a $2,300/plate fundraiser for Barack Obama at his Central Park West apartment in New York [1].
