Kenji Hirata (平田 健二? born 1944) is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Oita, Oita, he was elected for the first time in 1995 as a member of the New Frontier Party.
Kenji Hirata is a modern art painter. He likes painting on walls or use collage. His most famous painting is "Endless" produced in 2007 and "Doh Re Mi".
