The actual author of this image is unknown. The image was taken just after the war, in Japan. It is assumed that the image is now owned by the Kyushindo Martial Arts Association (of which I am a representative) as this is the organisation that Sensei Abbe helped form. I have spoken with the head of the KMAA and he is happy for the image to be used on Wikipedia for all uses.
