Hi, I just made an account here today, and I am extremely confused... I wanted to make an account here to create something like an Auto-biography... sorta something like Jeffree Star did.

I use his name because that is like a sample of what I want to do...

so, how would i go about doing something like that?

-Thanks sooooo much for your help!!!

Hey, welcome to Wikipedia! If you're here to write an article about yourself, I have one recommendation: DON'T. Auto-biographies are very much frowned upon, for several reasons. It's hard to write an article about yourself neutrally, because you obviously have a bit of a conflict of interest. Also, (and no offense) you may not be notable enough to merit inclusion in an encyclopedia like Wikipedia. You're more than welcome to request an article about yourself, but please don't write it yourself. If you still have questions, please feel free to add up another helpme tag, or leave me a message on my talk page. Happy editing. Hersfold (t/a/c) 01:50, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
I would classify that as a fairly neutral biography. I see no obvious evidence in the article history that Jeffree Star has made any significant contributions to that article - if he has, then I would appreciate it if you could point out those edits. I can't find a User:Jeffree Star either. Even if he has, that doesn't change the fact that writing an autobiography is a really bad idea. Hersfold (t/a/c) 02:26, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Take a look at our notability standards for people real quick and let me know if you think you meet any of them. Note that I only get one immediately useful hit for your name on Google, so things aren't looking too hopeful. Hersfold (t/a/c) 02:35, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] hmm...?

Hahaha, nope... I don't meet any of those standards...

to be quite honest with you what i'm trying to do is the whole "do-it-yourself" get famous (off the internet) type thing...

not sure if you know or not but SOOOO many people have been becoming famous by doing it themselves with either the help of youtube, or myspace... I have a myspace... but i've been slaving over trying to become at least "KNOWN" using something (anything!) =]

it's hard... and i'm still baffled at how others are doing it... so, that's the reason i wanted to make a auto-biography about myself.

any suggestions??

As a quick note, please stop adding new sections. It's a lot easier to keep things grouped together. Thanks.
My suggestion would be to leave Wikipedia WAY out of your bid to become famous. We have a policy page titled "What Wikipedia is not", and it includes headings such as...
We're definitely NOT the place for a "get famous quick" scheme, and attempting to do so here is a very good way to get yourself blocked. You're welcome to make helpful contributions to the project, but please don't use Wikipedia for your own personal promotion. It's a really bad idea. Hersfold (t/a/c) 02:49, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
As an extra note, I really don't mean to sound unwelcoming or rude by that - I'm just trying to save you a lot of frustration at the hands of Wikipedian policy. People have been known to get blocked for using Wikipedia for promotional purposes, and I'd like to spare you that fate. Please feel free to participate around the project. You are allowed to post a short description of yourself on your user page - there are some directions on how to do so here. Again, welcome to Wikipedia, and happy editing as always.
