Keith Askins

Keith Bernard Askins (born December 15, 1967, in Athens, Alabama) is a retired American professional basketball player. After playing at the University of Alabama, the 6'7" Askins signed with the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Miami Heat in 1990. A versatile athlete who could play at multiple positions, Askins spent his entire career as a reserve and defensive specialist for the Heat, retiring after being waived by the Heat in 1999 with career totals of 1,852 points and 1,428 rebounds. He now works as an assistant coach for the Heat.[citation needed]
