Kehoe Cup
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Kehoe Cup is an inter county and colleges hurling competition in the province of Leinster.
The Kehoe Cup is named after Micheál Kehoe (Wexford), former Gaelic Athletic Association President (1949–52) and Chairman of the Leinster Council (1942–1944). It is mainly contested by second and third tier hurling counties in Leinster (which excludes Kilkenny, Wexford, Dublin, Offaly and Laois) although in various years, changes in the format have allowed these stronger counties enter and win the Kehoe Cup.
The current champions are DIT, who denied Carlow a three in a row when they beat them in the 2007 final by 1-12 to 1-9.
