[edit] Keddie Murders and The Strangers

Based on a discussion on The Strangers page information regarding the Keddie Murders was removed from this article. These murders were not a hoax of any kind. Here are some fairly new links to information on the Keddie murders from the Plumas County News: 25 year-old slayings still haunt people, Sheriff takes new path after thirty years. It doesn't really matter to me whether the movie is based on these murders or not. But these murders did happen, and with all of these sources there is no reason why anyone should continue to remove information from the Keddie, California page.
