This image was listed as a company non-free logo.
This is not correct. Kean, being granted both federal and state funds cannot do this.
They can have a logo but it cannot be a non-free logo. It must be free.

- Simply because an institution receives federal monies does not mean that its works can not be copyrighted. I'm sorry, but there's no evidence this image is in the public domain based on this claim. There might be a legitimate claim based on the age of the seal, but you'd have to prove that this implementation of the seal is identical to one prior to 1923. --Durin 17:24, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- Also note that the page you link to says right on it "Kean University Seal copyright 2003 all rights reserved" Definitely non-free. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 18:31, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
