KDKK-FM Star Station is an FM radio station in Park Rapids, Minnesota. It broadcasts with 100,000 watts on 97.5MHz. It is owned by De La Hunt Broadcasting, and has a beautiful music format, consisting of music from the Big Band era as well as easy listening tracks.
In 2006, Ed and Carol De La Hunt were inducted into the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting Hall of Fame.[1]
Their Park Rapids properties include KDKK, KPRM 870 (Classic Country) and KXKK-FM 92.5 (country). They also own KAKK (1570) and KQKK (101.9) in Walker, Minnesota, and KVKK (1070) Verndale, Minnesota.
An announcement was made in early May 2008, that two more stations are being added, targeting the Bemidji area. The construction permits have been issued, and building has begun. WBKK-AM 820, licensed to Wilton, will feature Classic Country with some Polka programming. KKWB-FM 102.5 seems to be headed for an easy listening format, much like KDKK.
