[edit] Edits to 1930 World Cup Players
Hi, I was wondering why this bot is changing the position of the categories it is moving like this I think the category was sensibly placed next to Argentina international footballers. Changing the category into alphanumeric order wasn't part of the CfD discussion was it? English peasant 16:32, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- This would be a function of the bot framework. It was not part of the discussion, no, it never is. Generally, the category order just like anything else in an article, not written in stone, and able to be changed by anyone. --Kbdank71 17:09, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Screwup
Please don't remove defaultsort keys when you rename categories, as you did here Gene Nygaard (talk) 14:37, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- Don't know why that happened. It wasn't supposed to. If you look at the edits just before and after, that didn't happen. I've changed the code so it shouldn't happen again. --Kbdank71 15:16, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ronald Reagan
I don't know what this is, but I don't think it's what you intended. I reverted the whole thing because I can't sort it out. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:37, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- Beats the hell out of me. My bot is only programmed to do certain things, remove categories or move from one category to another. Certainly not make the changes in the diff. --Kbdank71 19:45, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- This has been fixed. It's the same issue as below (size of the category and the bot coding). --Kbdank71 16:07, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Childhood of Marilyn Monroe
Why did your bot revert the spelling correction I had made here? Signalhead (talk) 10:27, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- Had to do with the size of the category and the way the bot was coded. I've fixed the code so this doesn't happen again. --Kbdank71 14:59, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks. Signalhead (talk) 15:54, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Bot introduced table markup errors
On April 11 the bot made a sequence of edits that removed "[[Category:To do, priority undefined|{{PAGENAME}}]]" from (mainly) talk pages. Unfortunately, the edits also replaced in each case an immediately following line break by a space symbol. Since the removed text typically occurred inside a wikitable in which line breaks are a significant aspect of the table markup, this broke the code, causing the rest of the page to be included in the To-do list or Pending tasks; see e.g. Category talk:Horror writers and Talk:ITV. Would it be possible to fix this? --Lambiam 15:39, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I'm very busy with RL and don't have time to fix this now. If you want, you can readd the line break (the space was already there, my bot didn't add it). --Kbdank71 16:17, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
