KBDS (103.9 FM) is a Rhythmic Top 40 outlet serving the Kern County, California area and is owned by the Radio Campensina Bakersfield, Inc. The station is licensed to Taft, California and is branded as Play 103.9.

[edit] History

Prior to its flip to Rhythmic Top 40 in November 2004, KBDS' previous format was Regional Mexican. Since then Play 103.9 has done well with its current format, despite competition from Rhythmic rival KISV, who they decided to take on after KKXX-FM flipped formats three month earlier in August 2004.
