[edit] Surname confusion

Is this person "Abe, Kazushige" or "Abe Kazushige?" The piped parameter after the category usually goes by surname, but I'm unclear on this one. - brenneman^{L} 09:04, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

The Duke U. Library & several later G-hits are clear in using the comma version. In a few other articles, ABE in place of Abe is probably further support, imitating the formal convention of Esperanto in writing surnames.
