Kay Cannon

Kay Cannon is an American television writer and actress who is best known for her work as a writer for the NBC series 30 Rock.

Cannon received her BA in theatre at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. She is married to Saturday Night Live cast member/writer and former 30 Rock cast member, Jason Sudeikis. They have worked together at Boom Chicago in Amsterdam, The Second City in Las Vegas, and perform occasionally together at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York.

In addition to being a writer for 30 Rock, Kay also has had small cameo roles on the series as well.

She is left-handed.

She trained in improvisation at I.O. (ImprovOlympic) in Chicago.

Kay was an All-Conference Vollyball and All-American Track athlete in college.

  • On January 15, 2007, Cannon was recognized by Alec Baldwin at the Golden Globe awards during his acceptance speech for Best Actor in a Comedy Series.
