[edit] Discussion

Would someone be able to take an exterior photo of a Kaufmann's store before the chain is converted to Macy's in August 2006? J2rome 06:23, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Why did you spam this message to several May Company store talk pages? Or did you want a picture of each and just forgot to change "Hecht's" to "Kaufmann's", etc.? Powers 20:21, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Oops! I am very sorry. I didn't mean to spam and I don't believe that I am. I am making photo requests as per Wikipedia guidelines. I obviously made a mistake in copying & pasting and forgetting to change the name on each individual page. Thank you for notifying me, I will correct all of my requests. ;) J2rome 07:35, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] This is odd

One of the Kaufmann's in our area changed it's name to Macy's and it was changed back to Kaufmann's Dudtz 8/9/06 6:08 PM EST

[edit] Content of article

It strikes me as odd that there is so much non-Kaufmann's info in this article. I realize May owned Kaufmann's, but I think the whole section about how May owned all the major department stores in Pittsburgh needs to perhaps be in the May company article. NickBurns 18:18, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article Update

I took the liberty of updating and almost completely re-writing the Kaufmann's article. I've been storing information from newspapers and doing research on the now-defunct department store. As this is a hobby and not a career, it's taken me some time to find information. I'll add more as I can. --Write On 1983 01:43, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:KF frontpage logo.gif

Image:KF frontpage logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:46, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
