Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander / Sunday Times Watercolour Competition is a UK nationwide competition promoting the art of painting in water-based media. Launched in 1988, the first prize winner was Tom Coates. Subsequent winners of the first prize, now at £15,000, have been Stuart Pearson Wright, Leslie Worth, and Carol Robertson.
The judging panel is chaired by Frank Whitford, from the Sunday Times, who completes a write up of the six prize winners in the paper each year.
