There is an edit war in progress with someone using this article to try an pass off unverifiable Page 3 facts as encyclopedic, and seems to be more hormone-charged than factual. Entertainment figures pair off frequently to gain publicity - this is hardly something an ecyclopedia should be tracking. In addition, this particular "fact" has never been substantiated or confirmed by the actors in question.
The edits in question are coming from anonymous editors from particular IP addresses which are now under watch and are likely to be blocked in case this childish thing continues.

About her year of birth.

Its cited in IMDB that her yeah of birth is 1984 & to avoid an edit war about this, i had given the article as a reference, why was it removed? She is borned in 1984 how her it it 1983?

Why was the image of Katrina taken off? It looked so beautiful on the page!

It was removed because it was not a provably un-encumbered image. It was, in fact, a commercial picture, and the owner had not given permission for its use on Wikipedia. The fact that it was found on a website where it may have been used illegally is NOT criteria for inclusion on Wikipedia. Unfortunately, this article has suffered a lot from such uninformed edits - just because one CAN edit an article does not mean that anything goes. Achitnis 10:40, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

The photograph currently in the article is claimed to be released to the public domain by the photographer, but this has not been proven. He has also removed all warnings from his talk page. I suspect a copyvio, and am removing the image until this matter is resolved. Achitnis 16:48, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Not an assumption. Uploader was known to have done this before, and has since been barred from WP.[1] Achitnis 19:51, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] She was born in Hong Kong

It is slightly weird how people keep changing her place of birth to London. I have now provided a reference [2] from four years ago that clearly states that she was born in Hong Kong, grew up in Hawaii and modelled in London. The fact that she is a British national doesn't mean that she was born in the UK - both her parents were British nationals living in Hong Kong. Achitnis 15:59, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Whoever added the "Personal Life" section:

I have tagged it with {{unreferencedsection|date=October 2007}} because is simple doesnt have any references. I also detect vast swaths of "imported" material (yes, I also read Femina occasionally). Please clean up the section ASAP, else it goes.

In addition, please try and understand why the WPBiography tag exists on this page - even a celebrity has a right to privacy, and unsourced material of a personal nature is not allowed on WP. Go read this to understand why.

User:Abhayonline - you have been repeatedly editing this article and adding pirated pictures that you have uploaded. I have tracked down some of these pictures to their sources and have reported you to the admins. in addition, you have been committing fraud by claiming to be the photographer and "releasing" these pictures under the GDFL, when you are clearly NOT authorized to do so. Some of the pictures are clearly scans, while others are clearly professional photos. If you are indeed the owner of these photos, please prove first! Achitnis 13:24, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Current revamp of article

I disagree with the way this article has been rewritten. It is extremely gushy and "filmy", and feel slike it is written by a PR agent. Much of the material that as been added provides not real value to the article, and makes it more tabloidish than encyclopedia-like. In addition, many of the references added seem to be more for the sake of the referred-to link than to actually validate the statement in the article - i.e. linkspam. it is too much of a pain to rewrite all that stuff, so I am tempted to just revert the entire article and ask the editor to discuss things on this page before making such dramatic changes. However I am going to hold back to see what other editors who have been maintaining this article have to say. Achitnis (talk) 07:08, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

As I saw no objections to the above, I have removed all material that was either non-encyclopedic, tabloid, unreferenced (or not referenced with credible source), and material that was written in a gushy, PR-style, fanbiy manner. [edit] Section on Acting Career

I am uncertain whether the section on Acting career makes much sense in this article, and I certainly would not like to see this article end up a mess like the Rahul Dravid article, with every single minute fact of the person's life being documented. Besides, we already have a table showing what films she has acted in. Apart from hat, the language and grammar of the section is, frankly, terrible. Sure, it's something we can fix, but given that the whoile section is really not needed, that would be pointless.
