Talk:Kat Shoob
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Please note this page has been deleted before as Kat Shoob had minor roles on television. Now she presents on ITV her page was reinstated, albeit with more information, after a lot of demand was made for a new page which can be seen in this archive. Since it re-opened someone tried to speedy delete the page which was later changed to a article for deletion nomination. The result was a unanimous "keep" see here. Please do not nominate this article for deletion again unless Kat Shoob's notability changes which is unlikely. SenorKristobbal 11:49, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Also note we do not need random insults towards the other presenters on this discussion page. --Mr.bonus 13:56, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Why did someone delete the last quote that I wrote without even saying they removed it here? Please do not remove something without at least putting it here. --Anonymous 21:33, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

- A small deletion doesn't need discussing in this page. Have a look in the history tab and the reason will be in there. Mr.bonus 13:18, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Why the hell do you want to limit the amount of quotations? In my opinion quotations of what we hear them saying often are interesting material. Incidentally, I don't really remember her saying that the two nights she was on so I won't add it again right away... however I don't agree with limiting the amount of quotations to a few, especially of what they say all the time. Your judgement of what the article should be like is no more relevant than anyone else's, so if someone put it there, I don't see why you deleted it.Anonymous 22:03, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- No need to get so aggressive! The reason for the limit is because this article has been deleted in the past and that article had lots of trivia and quotes and not much else. If the quotes starts expanding and overtakes the article in terms of size, then some people may question how informative the page is. Mr.bonus 12:26, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Quotes or Catchphrases?
I stumbled upon this article after looking at your userpage, SenorKristobbal. Anyway the Quotes section immediately screamed out at me "I should be on Wikiquote", until I noticed that it's not really anything particularly quote-worthy. Perhaps the section should be renamed "Catchphrases"? Just an idea, cheers, aLii 23:35, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Early life and career
Kat mainly grew up in Whitchurch, Shropshire. After moving to London, her TV career started on price-drop tv as an auction assistant, where she introduced upcoming products and modelled products such as jewellery, but left in March 2006 for a more important role as a host on the quiz channel BIG Game TV!. She was soon spotted by the ITV Play team, and then presented The Daily Quiz! on Men & Motors. She was later given the job of being one of the presenters on The Mint on ITV1. Kat also presented Extra Mint, an early evening version of the main programme.
In October 2006 ITV launched Playdate, a new late-night dating show, with Kat taking the role as one of the main presenters. However, by December 2006 Playdate was cancelled due to small viewing figures, and so Kat returned to The Mint.
The vast majority of promotional images for The Mint have Kat pictured with co-presenter Brian Dowling. Kat was also part of the first show to give away the jackpot of the Mint vault. Kat presented with Brian Dowling and Craig Stevens when they had to almost force the jackpot of over £108,000 to be won on the night 12 May 2006.
Since presenting The Mint Kat has become very good friends with co-presenter Brian Dowling and is often seen out with him. [citation needed]
Kat appeared in a photoshoot for the September 2006 issue of the popular men's magazine, MAXIM.
Kat will be presenting the Daily Show podcast (www.theshow.com) online during the weekends. [1]
On 12 March 2007 Kat continued her radio career on London's Capital Radio where she can now be heard on an evening show with former Kiss 100 Breakfast Show host, Bam Bam. The show can be heard Monday-Friday, 7-10pm.
Kat can currently be seen hosting The Hub, a show about video games, on the Esport.tv website.
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:The mint tv.jpg
Image:The mint tv.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
