Kathleen S. Connell (born on 24 May 1937) is a Rhode Island politician. She was Secretary of State of Rhode Island between 1987 and 1993.[1] She started her political career as a member of the Middletown, RI school committee, where she served for 13 years, and the Middletown town council. She served as Rhode Island state senator for one term before running for Secretary of State.[2] During her State Office position, one of her most noteworthy achievements was saving historical records in the Rhode Island state capitol's basement. As of 2007, she is the Rhode Island Director of AARP.
