Katherine Bates (born May 18, 1982 in Sydney[1]) is an Australian track and road cyclist. A multiple national champion, Bates has been riding as a professional since 2002. In 2007, she became the World Points Race Champion on the track. Her sister Natalie Bates is also a professional cyclist, and they rode on the same team for the first time in 2007.[2]
