Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed your edits to the St. Louis, Missouri page. It looks like you were trying to upload a photo of the City Museum, which would be great to have. It looks like you may have had some problems uploading it. Is it a photo you took yourself? If not, it might be a copyright violation, in which case we could not include it on wikipedia. It looks like all of the images you have uploaded may have been copied directly from the City Museum website. On a few of them you tagged them as being the author and licensing them for use by Wikipedia. Can you please clarify? Did you take these pictures yourself? Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Hi! I removed several of the images you posted on the City Museum page because they seem to violate Wikipedia's copyright policy. You have just reposted them. Please respond to my notes either here, on my talk page, or on the articles talk page. Thank you for your contributions, but we cannot use copyrighted material without permission. Related to the above, I see you've posted the following images to Wikipedia.

City Museum has a policy of not allowing commercial use of their images without written permission. Do you have written permission from City Museum that would allow Wikipedia's visitors to use these images commercially? If so, let me know, and I'll send details regarding how/who to forward this information to at Wikipedia.

In answer to my own question... I checked with the museum director and he informed me that you are/were working for the museum's PR firm and that all these images were uploaded with permission. Thanks! Sorry for the extra bother, but I wasn't certain that you had City Museum's permission to use these images. Now that I've got that sorted out, I'll make note of that on the image pages so you shouldn't see any further concerns expressed over their copyrights. Thanks again, and cheers!
