[edit] Is Karima just the model or the new actress to play Lara Croft?

Are you sure, she's just the model? Check out this link, it says she's the new face and the body of Lara Croft. Pale blue dot 15:25, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

No more Tomb Raider movies have been confirmed, and she was chosen by Eidos, I doubt that Eidos would have very much say over who gets the part of Lara Croft in the movies. I can't find anything that says she's going to act in a new movie. Shrensh 15:36, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Check this link. It very clearly states that she has been hired by Eidos to promote the upcoming Tomb Raider game. Shrensh 15:43, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
As does the BBC:
Karima Adebibe, 20, from Bethnal Green, east London, will travel the globe representing the archaeologist for the launch of the next video game.' Tonywalton  | Talk 16:00, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

This person claims to have had a photo shoot with Karima and is showing CD that were used to help her 'get in the mood'. Could he be for real? 193.251.135.126 21:00, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ethnicity

What is Karima Adebibe's ethnicity? Her name is not a Western name. Regards, Carioca 21:25, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Karima was born in the UK but she then spent her early childhood in Morocco. Secondly, the word Karim is an Arabic word which either means noble hero, very appropriate since Karima Adebibe is gonna model/play Lara Croft - some say it also means kind-hearted and is one of the descriptive names of Allah - remember the name of Karim Abdul-Jabbar? The word Karima is the feminine of Karim. So, I'm guessing Karima Adebibe is of Moroccan descent and there's a possibility she might be muslim like Karim Abdul-Jabbar. Howver, the word Karim is also used by non-muslims, so she might be Christian or some such religion instead. I could of course, be completely incorrect - I'm only making educated guesses. 193.251.135.126 10:42, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your help. Hopeful someday she will give more info about her origin. Regards, Carioca 20:45, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
According to GameSpy.com, half Moroccan, a quarter Irish, and a quarter Greek. StargateX1 23:26, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] hurry up

soooooo, is someone going to take care of that article ?

I know! I made a new one on the temp page and the admins seem to be taking a very long time to fix this. StargateX1 18:49, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
The admins probably didn't know.  :) I just deleted and moved the pages around. Please let me know if something is broken. --Yamla 18:55, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Date of Birth

I've found a date of February 14, 1985 in a number of places, such as the French Actualite de stars website and the French Wikipedia. Though in this case she would share a birthday with the Lara Croft character, so caution advised. Still, I did post an update to IMDb. --Anshelm '77 01:41, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
