The Karoo Toad (Bufo gariepensis) is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family. It is found in Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, and Swaziland. Its natural habitats are dry savanna, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland, subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland, rivers, intermittent rivers, freshwater lakes, intermittent freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, arable land, pastureland, rural gardens, urban areas, ponds, and canals and ditches.
