Karim Matmour (Arabic: كريم مطمور) (born June 25, 1985 in Strasbourg, France) is an Algerian football player who is currently playing for German club Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga.

Matmour began his playing career at his hometown club of RC Strasbourg. After coming up through the academy team, he was not offered a professional contract and joined amateur side Vauban Strasbourg briefly before leaving to Germany to join SC Freiburg's reserve side. He was eventually promoted to the senior side where he made 80 league appearances in 3 seasons in the Bundesliga II.
On June 4, 2008, Matmour joined newly promoted Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach on a 4-year contract, with the team paying his former club SC Freiburg €2 million for the transfer.[1]
