Karen Smith (born January 30, 1979 in Toowoomba, Queensland) is a former field hockey midfield player from Australia, who earned a total number of 271 international caps for the Women's National Team, in which she scored 49 goals. Nicknamed Rowdy, she was first selected in the Australian Senior Team in February 1996 for the international series in Adelaide. Her career-high to date came when she won the world title with the Hockeyroos at the 1998 Women's Hockey World Cup in Utrecht.
