Karen McAloon

Karen McAloon (born [August 16], 1968) is the current host of the television show Find Your Style on HGTV.
McAloon was grew up in Torrance, California; a neighborhood just outside of Los Angeles. She traveled around the country before settling in San Francisco at the age of 25, where she still lives.
After fixing up a 1930's farmhouse purchased by her and her husband, word of her design skills spread. McAloon did both commercial and private jobs, before being selected to host HGTV's Design Remix. The show challenged McAloon to revamp homeowners' spaces with only a budget of "$50 and some paint". On the show, she worked with Danielle Hirsch, a contractor and painter, as well as carpenter Ian Read.
After taking some times off to travel, McAloon premiered a new show, Find Your Style. With the motto "Anyone can be a designer," she teaches homeowners how to redesign their own rooms based on four elements of style that they choose. On Find Your Style, McAloon works with contractor Peter Burke.
