Karawatha is an outer suburb of Brisbane, Australia. It is 22 km south-east of the CBD.
The naming of the suburb Karawatha is originated from an Aboriginal word meaning a place with pine trees. [1]
Karawatha is a sparsly populated suburb with minimal structures and the majority of the land used as undeveloped park land, known as Karawatha Forest.
