Kappa Theta Chi is one of the oldest fraternities in the San Antonio, Texas area. Kappa Theta Chi is currently the last fraternity that still owns and lives in a fraternity house. The fraternity has gone through many changes through the years and the current outlook is still looking good. In 1955 our fraternity was started by a group of graduates from St. Mary's University's marianist high school(Central Catholic Marianist High School) A decade after the founding of the fraternity we chartered the national fraternity Delta Sigma Phi. In 1980 we became unrecognized because of our failure to pay the national dues and the death of our fraternity moderator Brother Louie Schuster made it difficult as well. The current policy is to allow anyone who is currently attending a university to apply for membership.
