Kappa Arae (κ Ara / κ Arae) is a triple star system in the constellation Ara. It is approximately 398 light years from Earth.
The primary component, κ Arae A, is a yellow G-type giant with an apparent magnitude of +5.19. It has two 14th magnitude companions, κ Arae B and C which are respectively 25 and 30 arcseconds from the primary.
