Massive revision of this entry is required by someone knowledgeable in the area of blues music and the history of the Kansas City blues scene. As it stands this article lacks an objective historical perspective on the subject. Aside from casual mentions of Count Basie, Charlie Parker and some noteable artists and clubs, the article reads more like a brochure from the Chamber of Commerce than an encyclopedia entry.

I also propose removal of Jason Star from the Local Artists section of the article on Kansas City Blues (music). Star is neiter a blues musician nor is his stature as an "artist" noteworthy enough for inclusion in Wikipedia in general. The inclusion of a link to his My Space page also indicates a measure of self-promotion.Chairman B. 07:22, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Yes, the page reads as a promo for KC as opposed to a discussion of KC blues itself. Perhaps integrating it into a timeline with jump blues and R&B would be a good idea.JBDay 22:38, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
