Kanwar Rai Singh pronunciation (born February 24, 1922, Darkati, Punjab) is a former Indian cricketer who played in one Test in 1948.
Rai Singh was a surprising selection for the Indian tour of Australia in 1947-48. The BCCI President Anthony de Mello personally selected the team and D. B. Deodhar, one of the selectors, threatened to resign protesting some of the choices.[citation needed] Rai Singh had little success in the first class matches that he played in the tour.
Rai Singh was a right handed batsman and a captain in the Patiala army.
