The Kansas Southern Railway began operations on December 11, 2000. It operates on about 43 miles (69 km) of track between Attica, Kansas, and Sun City, Kansas. It interchanges with the BNSF Railway and operates three weekly freight trains over the entire line. It operates as a subcontractor of the V and S Railway Company.
