The words Kanones pueriles are an anagram of the name of Ioannes Keplerus; the writings to which these words refer are in fact by Johannes Kepler, in his youth at the Latin school in Maulbronn, and later at Tuebingen University. Kepler loved word games and it amused him to spell his name differently in order to free-associate his identity with other concepts in his sphere of attention.[citation needed]
