Kankakee Valley Middle School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kankakee Valley Middle School is a large school in Wheatfield, Indiana. It was built in 1978-1979.

The current principal is Will Auker. The vice principal is J.R. Ridley. The grades are divided into four pods, two pods assigned to each grade level. These are 71, 72, 81, & 82. The census was 629 students in 2005- 2006.

However, due to expansion in the amount of students, the middle school will soon be more open as the extension of the high school (which is now connected by a single side hallway.) A new middle school is planned to be built on the same land as the Intermediate school. Plans have yet to be finalized.

The middle school, along with the high school and elementary school, is under academic watch for continuously performing poorly in all fields of academics. Students have been informed that if academic watch continues, many drastic procedures will take place. The first of which would be having to enter a pre-college upon graduation of high school, good grades and poor grades not considered.
