This article is about the town in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. There are towns in other prefectures with the same name, see Kaneyama, Gifu and Kaneyama, Yamagata.
Kaneyama (金山町 Kaneyama-machi?) is a town located in Ōnuma District, Fukushima, Japan.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 2,952 and a density of 10.04 persons per km². The total area is 293.97 km².
Kaneyama is a mountainous, rural area of Aizu. It is made up of a number of small villages, which when combined together can be classified as a town or 町 in japanese. This is slightly misleading, however, as there is no central 'town' within Kaneyama. Many of Kaneyama's villages are scattered alongside the Tadami River. Due to the natural resources of Kaneyama there are many hot springs.
Kaneyama is noted for its spectacular scenery.
