Kandanga fire tower

Kandanga Fire Tower is a steel fire tower located in South East Queensland.

The tower is located on high on the hill tops in the hoop pine forest south of the town of Gympie. The Kandanga Fire Tower is one of the very few towers that remains operational during the fire season.

In the past a number of other towers were present in the area. Many have been demolished or standing unmaintained.
