General Kamal Hassan Ali (18 September 1921 – 27 March 1993) was an Egyptian politician and miliatary hero. He was Prime Minister of Egypt from 17 July 1984 to 4 September 1985.[1]
Ali was involved in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War and the Yom Kippur War.[1] He was head of the Egyptian Intelligence Service from 1975 to 1978.[1] After that, he served as Minister of Defense and Military Production under President Anwar Sadat.[1] Ali also played a role in peace negotiations between Egypt and Israel, resulting in a treaty in 1979.[1] General Ali became the chairman of the Egyptian-Gulf Bank in 1986.[1]
Kamal Hassan Ali died on 27 March 1993 at the age of 72 and was buried in a miliatary funeral.[1]
