Kallur is a small village in Palakkad district (erstwhile Palghat) of Kerala, southwest India, which is almost 20 km from Palakkad town and 17 km from Ottappalam.

Kallur is famous for Chenda Artists like Kallur Raman Kutty and Kallur Narayanan Kutty.

Very rich in temples with different specialities one can feel and get satisfied oneself. Karadimala Bhagavthy Temple It is more than merely 400 yrs old, in a small hill area, swayambhoo, if we pray for a thing it will be happen in 41 days.

Poonakurissi Siva Temple

Here also swayambhoo of Siva Parvathy, If we offer Abhishekam here we will get the things on hand famous for swayamvara Arachana for getting married, and various abhishekams for prosperity.

Kallur Sree Krishna Temple

Due to Land reform act the land of the temple lost around 100 acres paddy harvesting land, and the Annadhanam got discontinued mainly in Festival Seasons and July August period. Now this temple is under Naduvil Madam Devesom Board Thrissur Now with the help of kallur natives, temple is regaining. Any one offer the one day Annadhanam, they will not suffer for food in their life.

One Small Hill called Ayyarumala is near by, here Ayyappa prathishda is there, and at the time of Makara Villaku at Sabarimalai, Here also Garuda will came at the time of exact Jothi time. And near by we can see the Malikapurathamma (Vandavashcha kavu) story is that One Python came near to Devi, and Devi shouted for help, at that time Sri Ayyappa heard the devi's sound and sent saram for killing the snake, even now also we can see the images of snakes on the rock neary by vadavashcha bhagavathy temple. The spot is called Saram kothy.

Due to Venkateswaran Masters effort (Secretary, Kallur Grama Seva Samithi) the villagers got Road, Transportation, electricity and Post office, And also the dreams of keralassery and kallur people got the road connectivity after a long fights and apllications to authorities. In that surrodings only one high school to provide education for kallur,keralassery, vadassery, kundalassery, thadukkassery villages. that is Keralassery High School. The school donated lot of scholars, doctors, advocates, professionals, & politicians to the nation.
