Kalakua Kaheiheimalie ca. 1778 - 1842 was Queen consort of Hawaiʻi being one of Kamehameha's numerous wife and sister of Kaahumanu.
She was born into a noble ali'i family. Her parents were Keʻeaumoku Papaiahiahi, a noble from the Big Island, and Namahana'i'Kaleleokalani, the former consort of her half-brother the late king of Maui, Kamehameha Nui. From her mother she was member of the noble house of Maui being relative of many of the kings of Maui. Her siblings include Governor John Adams Kuakini of Hawaii, Queen Kaahumanu, Governor George Cox Kahekili Ke'eaumoku II of Maui, Lydia Namahana Pi'ia. Her father became an advisor and friend to Kamehameha of Hawaiʻi, eventually becoming royal governor of Maui. He arranged for her sister Kaʻahumanu to marry him when she was thirteen.
First Kaheiheimalie married Prince Kala'imamahu, Chief Priest of Io and Kane. He was a brother of Kamehameha. They divorced in the year 1795 and she married her brother-in-lawa King Kamehameha the Great. She married thirdly at Honolulu, the 19th October 1823, Ulumaheihei Hoapili, Aliʻi of Lahaina who was the Governor of Maui. She was known as Hoapili-wahine "Mrs. Hoapili".
She had issue one son and two daughters by her second marriage to Kamehameha. Her son Prince Kamehameha Kapauaiwa born ca. 1801. Her daughter Victoria Kamehamalu Kekuaiwaokalani married Liholiho and became Queen consort of Hawaii. Her youngest daughter Elizabeth Kinau succeed her aunt, Kalakua's sister, as Kuhina-Nui coruling Hawaii with Kamehameha II. Her issue from her first marriage with Kalaimamahu was Miriam Auhea Kekauluohi who succeed Elizabeth as the third Kuhina-Nui.
From her daughter Elizabeth and Miriam she was grandmother of Kamehameha IV, Kamehameha V, and Lunalilo.
She served as Governor of Maui 1840-1842 after her husband's death. She died on Maui, January 16, 1842 and was buried Waine'e Royal Cemetery, Lahaina beside her last husband Hoapili.
