[edit] Financial dispute between Limahl and Kajagoogoo band members

Can anybody comment on the nature of the dispute that led to Kajagoogoo firing Limahl? Was it purely financial in nature?

I believe it was down to 'musical differences', the band wanted to go in a different direction which is shown in the maturity of Islands/Extra Play compared to White Feathers. Hope this helps.

According to VH1's Bands Reunited (2004), which features recent interviews of all band members, the conflict was over the band's image and sound. The original members (i.e. everyone except Limahl) agreed that the band wanted to evolve away from its teenybopper style. The best way to do that, it was felt, was to sack Limahl as the band's lead singer.

i have heard that it was because Limahl felt he should get more percent of the money instead of splitting it evenly, and that he should get most because he wrote the songs. or another was that the rest of Kajagoogoo wanted to grow up with the audience.

Limahl did not solely write any of the songs, lyrics yes in some instances, music no.

This one is just a rumor and is not true at all but just in case you hear it dont believe it. It has been said that Limahl is gay and when the other band members found out about this he was not accepted. But like I said before this is not true at all. 6 synth pop (talk) 11:18, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] To what does the word Frayo refer?

Cool, shadowy song. Odd chords and rhythm. What is "Frayo"? Fragrance of rice 00:39, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
