Kailasa (band)

Kailasa is an Indian band, founded by Kailash Kher and brothers, Paresh and Naresh Kamath. The band's music is a fusion of classical, pop & sufi music.
"Kailasha" in sanskrit means Swarg (Hindi word), or Heaven.
The name of their debut album is also Kailasa. The album was a huge hit in India, rocketing into the top 10 album charts.[1][not in citation given] The group got international recognition from performing live in concert with Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder.[citation needed]

Kailasa album consists of 7 songs; a blend of love and devotion from "Teri Dewaani", a love song, to "Jaan Jogi Di Naal", which is a Buleh Shah Kaifi, composed in a Sufi style. The album is a fusion of classical, pop & sufi generes of music.
