Kadai peoples

The Kadai peoples refers to Kadai speaking ethnic groups of China and Vietnam.

The Kadai ethnic groups are clustered in the Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan, Hunan and Hainan Provinces of China, as well as the Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Lao Cai and Son La Provinces of Vietnam. By province and country, the individual Kadai ethnic groups are geographically distributed as follows:

    • Yerong (Kadai speakers, but identify themselves as Yao by nationality)

    • Qabiao (Kadai speakers, but identify themselves as Yi by nationality)
