Description

A Douglas KA-3B Skywarrior tanker aircraft (BuNo. 142664) of heavy attack squadron VAH-4 Det. B Fourrunners. The DVIC gives the date the photo was taken with "16 Mar 1985". However, VAH-4 was redesignated VAQ-131 on 1 Nov 1968, and was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing Five (CVW-5) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hancock (CVA-19) for the deployment from 5 Jan 1967 to 22 Jul 1967 to Vietnam (the carrier's name is visible on the plane). VAH-4 kept its tail code "ZB" during that deployment, although CVW-5´s tail code was "NF".
