K Fest (Radio)

K Fest is an annual event (since 1994) hosted by WSPK, a Top-40 radio station in New York. It is held each June in Wappingers Falls, New York, usually at Dutchess Stadium.

K Fest 2008 took place on Sunday, June 1st, 2008. Special pit passes were sold out within three days of sale, and nearly two months in advance. Conventional tickets sold out two weeks before the concert.

[edit] 2007 Akon Incident
At K Fest 2007, performer Akon invited a minor who had thrown an object at the rapper and then threw him off-stage, in an humorous "crowd surfing" type manner. Upon prosecution in the Town of Fishkill Court, the performer settled an undisclosed sum with the plaintiff and her son.
