K. V. Sithamparapillai

Kathir Vellupillai Sithamparapillai is a Justice of Peace, Notary Public, Coronor & Real Estate Developer born September 3rd 1921 and residing in Batticalo Sri Lanka. On April 16th of 2002 Mr. KVS was kidnapped at his home on 37 Bar Road and held hostage by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) for RS. 5,000,000 (USD $44,073)

He was held at the LTTE base in Paddiruppu, Batticaloa and released the following day on condition to make two payments of RS. 2,200,000 and RS. 300,000. Unconfirmed reports say that Mr. KVS did make payment of both.
