[edit] population

Hi Kürşat,

You changed the population figures for the number of Turkish speakers. Do you have a reference we could share? Probably best to justify your edit on the talk page. Teşekür! Meanwhile, I'm reverting the edit to the supported numbers.

You've also listed 165M Turkic speakers and called them "Turkish". However, the Turkic languages are no more intelligible than the Slavic, Romance, or Indic languages, so to be consistant we should unify those as well. But you'll notice that not even "Arabic" is considered a language on that page, but is broken down into dozens of Arab languages. Anyway, I'm reverting this edit too. --kwami 23:45, 2005 July 16 (UTC)
