Jyothi Engineering College Cheruthuruthy (JECC), run under the aegis of the Trichur Educational Trust, which in turn is a part of the Archdiocese of Trichur, is a centre for higher education in the field of engineering,in the state of Kerala, India. It is an AICTE approved institution and is affiliated to the University of Calicut.The college was started in the year 2002.

JECC is located off Panjal Road, Vettikattiri, a stone's throw from the Kerala Kalamandalam. It offers bachelors degree in six branches of engineering currently:

  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
  • Mechanical Engineering (ME)
  • Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (AE)
  • Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
  • Information Technology (IT)

For the past two years, JECC has been producing the best results in the University of Calicut. It topped the University in the first year results of its students in 2006, and came second in 2007.

Various extra-curricular activities conducted under the various student associatons of each branches take place annually.

Most recently, Magnum Opus '07, conducted by the ECSA (Electronics and Communication Students Association) was held in December 2007 along with Yantra '07, conducted by AMES (Association of Mechanical Engineering Students).

Surge Aelit, the technical fest by AEEE (Association of EEE Students), CIT (Information Technology) and AEI (Applied Electronics and Instrumentation)was held in late April, 2008.

Rendezvous '08 is also being planned for this year, which is the biennial event of the IEEE Student Branch of JECC.
