[edit] White-Hat Hacker?
So I saw that Justin Long's character in Die Hard 4 is referred to as a "white-hat hacker" in this article, which is not the case. I saw the edit when this began. Basically, in 2006, when there was first information about Justin Long's character, they found out he was a hacker who helps the character John in the movie. Naturally, the editor called his character a "good hacker". Then someone who knew hacker terminology changed it from "good" to "white-hat", meaning ethical.
Since then the movie has actually come out and having seen the movie, I can say for sure that he is by no means a "white-hat hacker". He is taken into custody by John for being suspected of committing the cyber crime surrounding the plot, he has a strong dislike for the government, and while he helps John, he often uses unethical means to do so, such as lying to an OnStar representative to start a car in order for John to steal it.
In terms of hacker terminology, the character is really more of a "grey-hat" hacker, but since there is no source to support my claim, I suggest we just remove the "white-hat" reference entirely.
Thoughts?

- I think you've typed up 3 paragraphs to justify what you think needs to be done, but you haven't actually done. If you want the change, make it. ~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.211.156.10 (talk) 22:19, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Graduation
I've got numerous sites that claim Long graduated from Vassar. Others say he was "class of 2000" but leave it vague. This article was edited to say he left in 1998. Can we have a canonical source here? Jsnell 23:48, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
The Vassar College Alumni database lists him as a member of the class of 2000, but doesn't state his major. His Imdb biography states that he did indeed graduate from Vassar College, but also omits his major. Amasa walker III 03:00, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] What's on your Playlist?
IMDB has not heard of this movie. Nor has google. I've removed it from the filmography -- ProveIt (talk) 17:48, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Filmography
Galaxy Quest was mentioned several times in the article, but left out of the filmography. I've added it, but maybe the filmography should be eliminated if it isn't going to attempt to be complete?--72.73.25.102 05:55, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] IMDB?
Is IMDB, a publically postable site a reliable source for things like how many Ads apple hasn't released? TheHYPO 08:27, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Raising Genius
I created a (very) simple article on a small movie named Raising Genius (2004) that Justin Long played the main role for and added it to Filmography. If you wish to expand that article please go ahead.--Exander 09:20, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Extremely Sexy?
"He is also known for his personification of an extremely sexy Macintosh computer..." This doesn't strike me as particularly neutral or verifiable, and just seems generally non-Wikipedian. Maybe it's just because I have a PC.--Kevin S. 13 April 2007
- Hey, as a guy who is also named Justin Long, I appreciate the term "extremely sexy." --The Outhouse Mouse 20:35, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Jeepers Creepers
I think that his character of "Darry Jenner" in Jeepers Creepers (2001) should be added into the notable roles section, I just don't know how to format it in the correct way, so could someone go ahead and do that?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Markdashark1212 (talk • contribs) 02:51, 9 May 2007.
[edit] Die Hard
How can he be 'known for' his role in Die Hard when the film hasn't come out as yet?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.61.98.24 (talk • contribs) 03:55, 5 June 2007.
