Justin Packshaw

Justin Packshaw, (born 13 March 1965 in London) is an English entrepreneur and adventurer.

A soldier for eight years in the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards [1], he left the army and took a Masters Degree in Business at Edinburgh University. Packshaw moved to New York in 1994 to work for Wand & Partners [2], before setting up his own business. Since 1996 he has coordinated a Round-the-World yacht race for News Corporation, started an advertising newspaper in the Mediterranean and is now managing director of the fashion label De roemer[3]

Adventure, sports and travel are an important feature to his life. Packshaw has travelled extensively; having ridden horses across Mongolia, driven a motorbike through East Africa, skydived [4], skied and climbed widely. In 1990 he represented Britain in the Whitbread Round-the-World Yacht Race [5]. In 2005 he and Christina Franco took part and won a 450 mile un-supported manhauling race to the Magnetic North Pole[6].
In April 2008 he reached the Geographic North Pole unsupported with David Hempleman-Adams and Rune Gjeldnes.
