[edit] Editorializing?

While I can't find anything factually wrong with the statement "Calling it the minor league World Series was perhaps a bit pretentious, as it most often left out the just-as-strong-if-not-stronger minor circuit called the Pacific Coast League (PCL).", it seems too much like editorializing. What do you guys think - discard, re-write to keep the essential information, or am I making something out of nothing? SixFourThree (talk) 18:47, 13 February 2008 (UTC)SixFourThree

Zap the kind-of condescending prefix, and just state that it only involved 2 of the 3 top level minor leagues during most of its history. The PCL was considered stronger than the AA or the IL (they were briefly elevated from AAA to "Open" in the 1950s), but maybe that's pushing it too hard. FYI, I think I wrote the original remark, so have at it. [Never mind, I done did it myself.] Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 19:04, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
I like how it reads now. Think that does the trick. SixFourThree (talk) 16:28, 14 February 2008 (UTC)SixFourThree
You do, eh? Well, I'll have to change it back, then! Sorry, channeling Groucho Marx for a second there. OK, we're good. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 16:42, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
