Talk:Jumper

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] Etymology

The article says that "jumper" comes from a Quechua word. I've also heard it said that it is related to the French word "jupe" (skirt) and the Arabic "jibba" (long coat). 83.71.31.77 13:31, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] UK garment

It says a UK jumper is like a US sweater. The article for sweater says that it includes both pullovers and cardigans. I don't know whether that is true but the UK meaning of jumper does not include cardigans. So the link needs to be clarified. 131.111.85.79 10:03, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
